Why Stichting Sintenbuurt Noord?
A neighbourhood where you know each other. Where you stop for a chat, help one another and work together to create a pleasant, green and safe place to live. That is what Stichting Sintenbuurt Noord stands for.
Meeting each other
Good neighbours start with a conversation. That is why we organise activities for all ages throughout the year. Think of Neighbours’ Day, King’s Day, the Walking Dinner, Halloween and playing sports together. Often with more than a hundred neighbours taking part. Knowing each other helps us feel at home. And makes it easier to lend a hand.
Starting something yourself
The best ideas come from the neighbourhood itself. Residents have started a walking club, a book club, a paddleboarding club and a herb garden. We are happy to help, for example with a small budget for plants or tools. Have an idea? Let us know!
Green, clean and sustainable
A green and clean neighbourhood is a pleasant place to live. The herb garden shows how it works: caring for a lovely corner of the neighbourhood together and taking pride in it. We also tackle litter together. And if something needs attention, we notice it quickly and work together to address it.
Safe and heard
The Safe Ring Road Committee regularly speaks to the municipality about traffic safety on behalf of the neighbourhood. This gives our neighbourhood a voice in decisions that affect us all.
How we make this possible
Each year we apply for a municipal grant through the Gebiedsgericht werken in niet-actiegebieden scheme. This funds activities and supports residents’ initiatives, helping everyone in the neighbourhood take part without high costs.
Join in
Our neighbourhood is as strong as the people who live here. Come to an activity, join a club or start something new. Would you like to organise something for the neighbourhood? You can apply to the foundation’s board for a budget. We look forward to seeing you!
